Lorenzo Reffreger

Lorenzo Reffreger is Head of Sales, Americas in the Systems division at Bombardier Transportation (BT), appointed in July 2012.  In this role, Mr. Reffreger is responsible for sales and business development for turnkey rail systems and rail services for the North and South Americas markets.

After earning his Law Degree, Mr. Reffreger entered the transit business. He has held positions in Sales, Marketing, Bids and Proposals, Procurement, Sourcing and General Management throughout the world.

He has been a transit professional for more than ten years with a diverse background and with extensive international experience having worked in two different continents with responsibilities in Europe, Middle East, South and North America.

During his transit career, Lorenzo has held different positions with three major rail car builders; Alstom Transport, AnsaldoBreda and Bombardier Transportation in Mexico City, Paris, Madrid, Chicago, Sao Paulo and San Francisco.

Prior to joining BT, Mr. Reffreger was Vice President Sales and Marketing at AnsaldoBreda, where he was responsible for Ansaldo’s North American sales operations for more than five years.

Mr. Reffreger’s career in rail transportation began in 1999 with Alstom Transport in Mexico City, Mexico where held the position of Contracts Manager, before moving on to roles in Sourcing and Sales in Paris, France.  In 2003, he became Director, Parts and Components, based in Madrid, Spain and in the following year, he was appointed Director, Bids and Proposals, based in Chicago, USA, a role that he held for more than three years.
