Tim Leberecht

Chief Marketing Officer


Tim Leberecht is the chief marketing officer of global design and architecture firm NBBJ, which helps organizations such as Amazon, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Google, Samsung, and Tencent create meaningful places and experiences. Previously, he was the chief marketing officer of product design and strategy firm Frog Design. Leberecht has led numerous innovation workshops for Fortune 500 companies, and his thoughts on leadership, marketing, and design have appeared in publications such as Fast Company, Forbes, Fortune, and Wired. He has spoken at venues including TEDGlobal, The Economist Big Rethink, DLD, Next, Re:Publica, Silicon Valley Bank CEO Summit, and Carnegie Mellon University. His 2012 TED Talk “3 Ways to (Usefully) Lose Control of Your Brand” has been viewed by more than one million people to date. Leberecht serves on the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Values, and he is a lecturer at the Experience Institute and an advisor to The Human Agency, a collective of social change-makers. His first book, The Business Romantic (HarperCollins), will come out in January 2015. He lives in San Francisco.
